There are plenty of programs that I always run whenever I plan to write articles. Before, whenever I turn on my laptop, I used to open Brackets, Adobe Photoshop, Google Chrome, MS Word one by one. A Batch file is a computer file containing instructions that the computer should carry out once the batch file is launched. Batch file is a kind of script file with .bat, .cmd, .btm file extensions in operating systems which consists of a series of commands to be executed by the command line interpreter (cmd). Introduction to batch file:
Open a text editor such as Notepad. We can use any text editor, But the Most used application is Notepad. Notepad commonly used to convert text files into batch files. use following steps to open Notepad.
①Press window button and search for Notepad.
②Right click at anywhere and select New › Text Document.
Get Program Paths.
We need to collect the program paths of the applications that we are trying to launch. To do this, follow the given steps.
① Press window key and search for target program, right click on it and select Open file location.
② Right click on the app file and open properties.
③ In properties window, Open Shortcut tab and in text box next to "Target" field, there is app complete path. Copy that path and paste it into open empty Notepad.
Repeat Step # 3 to get all the applications path we want to open in this shortcut and follow the next steps.
Create the batch file.
Once we have collected the target info for all of the programs that we want to open using batch file shortcut, Use the following syntax to create the batch file.

○ @ ECHO OFF: This Command will simply prevents the commands (used to create this script) from being displayed in the output command prompt window.
○ CD: This Command will change our current directory to the given program path.
○ PROGRAM PATH: This is the path of program which we collect in step # 3.
○ START PROGRAM.EXE: This command will launch the program .exe from the given location that is given in program path.
○ EXIT: This command is kind of self-explanatory. It will just close the command prompt window after executing all the commands.

Saving Batch file:
Once we have done with writing script in our Notepad, we can proceed with saving it as an executable file. Follow the given steps to save the file.
① Click File in the top-left corner of the Notepad window and click save - or simply press Ctrl + S to save the file.
② Write file name using .bat extension to indicate that the file is a batch file.
③ Click Save button to save the batch file or simply press Enter.
Finally Lunch the programs:
We have successfully created the short cut that can open our five programs in just one click. We will find new short cut on the location where we save it with a little gear icon. You just need to double-click on that short cut. A command prompt window pop up and disappear and our all target programs will open one by one.
